Mr. Blum has 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, giving him the ability to identify exceptional opportunities, quickly correct any management issues. He has invested in some 45 projects since 1998. As a Partner with Urban Southwest Capital, his focus has been in reposition of mismanaged multi-family communities. He was responsible for the acquisition of 30 properties exceeding 6,000 units since 2009. Previously, Mr. Blum was a commercial mortgage banker with the firms Holliday Fenoglio & Fowler, and CB Richard Ellis. During his 12 years in mortgage banking, he was responsible for some 200 debt placement.

An original member of Urban Southwest Capital, Mr. Hampton is responsible for all aspects of managing the existing assets in the portfolio. This includes financial reporting, supervising capital and tenant improvements, as well as all vendors associated with the assets. He is also responsible for underwriting and analysis during the acquisition and disposition processes.

Jamie Harris has a BBA degree in finance and banking and over 15 years of accounting experience. Mrs. Harris accounting experience includes preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing accounting staff, and maintaining all client & investor, vendor, lender, and banking relations. In addition, she has cash management, budget forecasting, and pro-forma skills.

Katherine Carrizales has been in the multifamily industry for eight years and has 10 years of accounting experience. Prior to joining Urban Southwest, she was a property accountant for six multifamily properties using various accounting software programs which include Onesite, Propertyware, Appfolio and QuickBooks.

Ben Weil has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. He co-founded Urban Southwest Capital in 2007, which specializes in acquiring value-add industrial and multifamily assets, with a focus on properties that were undercapitalized or mismanaged. Mr. Weil oversees the management of the company’s assets and is also responsible for the acquisition and disposition of individual properties.

Margaret Penoli has been active in the Multifamily Industry for over 25 years. Prior to joining Urban Southwest, Miss Penoli served as a Senior Regional Supervisor for Ascension Management where she was instrumental in developing the ACRE training program and producing the company Operations Manual. In addition, Miss Penoli handled the majority of the third party management as well as Owner managed portfolio’s.

Mrs. Lerma joined Urban Southwest Capital as the Regional Property Manager in 2014. Her passion for training, marketing, asset repositioning, combined with her enthusiasm to provide empowering opportunities for Urban SW Capital team members are just a few of her many qualities. Mrs. Lerma is responsible for developing our marketing and training programs, due diligence, takeover of new assets, and day to day operations.

With over 12 years of experience in the construction industry, Leon has been the Project Manager in charge of Construction for Urban Southwest Capital the past five years. Previously, Leon worked for Catalyst Services Gulf Coast where he supervised a construction team working in oil refineries all over the world specializing in the service and repair of CCR and Hydrocrackers.
